Reid Satterfield

Spiritual Direction

Reid grew up in a small coastal town just outside of Wilmington, NC, where countless hours were spent on the water and in the woods. These experiences continue to shape his understanding of how to receive from an ever-present, loving Father and how to invite others into this life transforming space. Offering these gifts to those the Father brings into his life, and seeing them walk in the fullness of all that Jesus has for them, through the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit fills Reid with joy.

Reid met his wife, April, through the ministry of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship while attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Together they served as missionaries in northwestern Uganda, living and serving an unreached, Muslim people. Reid served at the Charlotte, NC campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (where he earned a Master's degree) in a pioneering role for the Pierce Center for Disciple-Building, was on the pastoral team of an Anglican Church plant in east Charlotte, and has offered spiritual direction for many leaders in the Charlotte area and beyond. Reid and April have one daughter, Emma Jane, who was born during their time in Africa. Reid enjoys playing the guitar, taking in live music, and supporting his favorite English Premier League team, the Arsenal - go Gunners!
